Da jeg så Tiny Epic Dinosaurs på Kickstarter tilbage i oktober, skulle jeg ikke bruge mange øjeblikke på at være med på den. Gamelyn Games’ serie af Tiny Epic spil har alle været høj kvalitet og så et spil med dinosaur-tema? Det kan ingen da sige nej til.
I Tiny Epic Dinosaur skal man indfange og avle dinosaurer, som man så igen sælger for point. Samtidig kan man forske i forbedringer til sin ranch og klone særlige dinosaurer, som giver forskellige bonusser.
Det første syn, der møder mig, er spillets regelbog. Den skal læses meget snart.
Under regelbogen finder jeg spillets eneste terning, en bunke forskellige kort og en pose fuld af brikker - inklusive 75 dinosaurer.
Under alle de fine brikker ser man de større kort, der kommer til at udgøre spillepladen, og miniudvidelsen Laboratory, der tilføjer en ekstra måde at spille på.
Et bedre blik på alle brikkerne. Dinosaurerne er godt én centimeter lange og kommer i forskellige arter og farver. Den røde Allosaurus, den gule Stegosaurus, den grønne Velociraptor og den blå Brachiosaurus udgør basis-dinoerne. Ud over dem er der 15 forskellige arter i lilla. Jeg genkender blandt andet Triceratops, Dilophosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Plesiosaurus, Spinosaurus, Ankylosaurus og Pterodaktyl.
Forsknings-kort giver mulighed for at tilføje forbedringer.
Kontrakt-kort viser, hvilke dinosaurer der kan sælges for point.
Fire kort sættes sammen til spillepladen og danner et fint motiv, hvis de lægges rigtigt. De har alle to forskellige sider, som varierer spillet til, hvor mange spillere man er.
Et kort til at holde styr på runder og faser i spillet hører selvfølgelig også med.
Hver spiller kan få et unikt ranch-kort og et kort, der giver overblik over mængden af ressourcer og andre fornødenheder.
Miniudvidelsen, som fulgte med Kickstarter-udgaven, giver en ekstra dimension og, vigtigst af alt, flere dinosaurer - en Mosasaurus og en Gamelydon, som er opdigtet til lejligheden.
